Visits & Tours
Throughout the year we receive visitors from various organisations and establishments who travel from all over UK to see the mosque. A great deal of visitors are from faith, inter-faith and educational institutions wishing to further their understanding of Islamic lifestyle and worship.
Newbury Mosque is one of the religious buildings in the town and a result, a vast number of people visit the mosque every year.
The Newbury Mosque is open to visitors throughout the year. We receive a large number of visitors from schools, colleges and universities wishing to find out more about the workings of a mosque and the Islamic faith for projects and studies.
We also have a number of faith-based groups, organisational visits and tourists who visit the mosque. Most visits are booked via the main office and in writing. We must have notice of at least two weeks for a visit so that we can make the necessary arrangements. We have three main hosts on hand to cater for groups of different ages. Town-visiting tourists may drop in without prior appointment.
A normal visit consists of an observation of prayer, a tour of the mosque building and a Q&A or discussion session. Light refreshments and worksheets are also provided for younger visitors.
To book a visit, please contact the Mosque on: 07540916508 or email us at Newbury.Masjid@yahoo.co.uk.

Funeral Services
Funeral prayer services (Janāzah) are held at the mosque and can be arranged via the main office. We can support the preparation of bodies for funerals/burials and the coffin and all the facilities to wash the deceased or maintain their cadaver in cold storage. The mosque ensures that the service aspect of a funeral is carried out as best as possible before the departed is taken to the graveyard.
We have been providing these services for the last 20 years.
We are starting an account where people can donate towards funeral of our muslim brothers or sisters who cannot afford burial charges or to help the families of deceased.
Here is the link to donate.
